About the Author:

The author received his Ph.D. (Sc) from Calcutta University (C.U.) in 1982.

He served as a teacher in Chemistry at Midnapore College from February 1978 to March 2012.

He was the first Coordinator of the P.G. section, introduced in 2006, and served as the Head of the Department from 2008 until his retirement.

Since 2006, he has been involved in independent research, publishing 10 papers, and guiding two students to receive their Ph.D. from V.U.

Post-retirement, he has acted as a guest teacher at various universities and colleges, including Sidho-Kanho-Birasha University and Panskura Banamali College.

He has authored several books, including Nomenclature of Organic Compounds (1st and 2nd editions, Narosa Pvt. Ltd.) and Essentials of Chemistry (for XI and XII, Santra Publication Pvt. Ltd.).
