About the Author
Dr. Subhrojit Chatterjee is currently Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Kashipur Michael Madhusudan Mahavidyalaya, Purulia. He is also associated as an Academic Counsellor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Netaji Subhas Open University.
He has authored several important books, including works on Dokra art and artisan communities in the context of globalization, Indian society from sociological perspectives, rural sociology in the Indian context, gender, sexuality and women, economy and development, urban sociology, and social research methodology. His other notable works include Levant's Sociology for Success, Foundations of Social Research: Concepts, Methods, and Applications, Media, Society and Culture: Interrelations and Changing Scenario, India's Glorious Cultural Heritage: Continuity and Changes, and Pathachakra II. He has also published several research articles in national and international journals and contributed to edited academic volumes.
