Captain Pran Ranjan Prasad, an MBA by qualification, was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery and currently serves as the senior-most security officer in the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). In 1997, he was entrusted with the additional responsibility of computerizing the ASI's operations. He played a significant role in the establishment of the Museum at the Punjab Regimental Centre (PRC), Ramgarh.
Capt. Prasad has authored numerous articles on topics of general interest, which have been featured in prominent newspapers and magazines. He is closely associated with the Institute of Archaeology and has represented ASI at several national and international seminars. His contributions reflect a unique combination of administrative expertise, technological advancement, and scholarly engagement in the field of archaeology.
