Deo Prakash Sharma (born 20 July 1952) holds an M.A. in Ancient History, Culture, and Archaeology from Allahabad University. He has participated in significant excavations across India, including sites like Pangotaria, Mansar, Narmada Valley, and more. Awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship in 1983-84, he pursued M.A. in Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, London, specializing in Palaeolithic and Mesolithic periods. He later worked at the National Museum, New Delhi, where he is currently the Head of the Harappan Collection.

Madhuri Sharma (born 14 July 1954) holds an M.A. in Ancient History and a Post-Graduate diploma in Museology. She has worked on the Application of Statistics in Prehistoric Archaeology at Deccan College, Pune, and participated in excavations and international seminars. She has published two books and sixty research papers, including work on Early Buddhist Metal Images of South Asia. She is currently working as a senior fellow on a research project on early metal images in the museums of U.P.
