He was Professor of Zoology at the Udai Pratap College, Varanasi and D.S.B. Government College, Nainital; Principal Government Postgraduate College, Pithoragarh and K. N. Government College, Gyanpur (Varanasi); Joint Secretary Government of Uttar Pradesh and retired as Director of Higher Education, Uttar Pradesh.
