About the Author:

J.P. Singh holds a Ph.D. in Demography from the Australian National University, Canberra, and has received advanced training in population and economics from the International Institute of Sociology (ISS) in The Hague, Netherlands. He has served as a Professor of Sociology, Additional Director of the Population Research Center, and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Patna University. Singh has also worked as Director (Higher Education) and Director-cum-Chairman of the Bihar Hindi Granth Academy, Government of Bihar. With over 100 research papers and 30 books in the fields of demography, anthropology, and sociology, he is a renowned author and lexicographer.
