About the Author
Donald S. Lopez Jr. is the Arthur E. Link Distinguished University Professor of Buddhist and Tibetan Studies at the University of Michigan. The author of numerous books on Buddhism, his translations of the works of Gendun Chopel appear in The Madman's Middle Way, In the Forest of Faded Wisdom, and Grains of Gold: Tales of a Cosmopolitan Traveler (translated with Thupten Jinpa).
