  Introduction

  By the causeless mercy and inspiration of Paramarādhyatama Śrī Guru-pādapadma Nitya-lilā-pravişța Om Vişnupāda aştottara-śata Śrī Śrimad Bhaktivedanta Nārāyaņa Gosvāmī Mahārāja we are overjoyed to present the first English edition of this priceless jewel among spiritual discourses entitled Gaudiya-darśana. Based on a lecture by Prabhupāda Śrila Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvati Thakura at the Albert Hall, Calcutta, on 11th August 1929, Gaudiya-darśana was originally printed in Bengali in the Gaudiya weekly journal. This English translation is based on the third Bengali edition printed by the Gaudiya Mission (21* September 2015) and the Hindi edition published by Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedanta Nārāyaņa Gosvāmi Mahārāja (1st September 2009).

  Expressing his astonishment, Śrī Śrimad Bhaktivedanta Nārāyaņa Gosvāmī Mahārāja has commented:

  "Although at the beginning of Śrila Prabhupāda's speech the churning of the subject of sphota may seem to be somewhat technically challenging, as his discourse progresses, it appears just as if someone is distributing without restraint the vast treasure of profound realizations from the storehouse of his personal bhajana.
