About the Author / Editor

Kim Knott is Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Leeds, UK, and Director of the Diasporas, Migration and Identities program funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). She is widely recognized for her work on South Asian religious diasporas, particularly British Hindus, and has published influential works including Hindus in Leeds, My Sweet Lord: The Hare Krishna Movement, and Hinduism: A Very Short Introduction. Her research spans religious diversity, spatial methodology, and secularism in public life.

Seán McLoughlin, co-editor, is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Leeds. Trained in the anthropology of religion and Islam, he specializes in the study of South Asian heritage Muslims in Britain. He has led several public research projects and is co-editor of European Muslims and the Secular State. His forthcoming works include Writing the City in British-Asian Diasporas and Representing Muslims: Religion, Diaspora and the Politics of Identity.
