He is a former Professor of Political Science at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, specializing in Modern Political Theory, Indian Political Thought, Political Engineering, Secularism, Gandhism, and Hindutva. He has authored over 25 books and 50 research articles and has edited journals like Political Science Review and Political Change. His notable works include Contemporary Political Theory, Research Methodology in Political Science, and Gandhi and Gandhians (forthcoming).
