J.P. Singh is a distinguished academician with an MPhil in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a PhD in Demography from the Australian National University, Canberra. His career spans key academic and administrative roles, including Associate Professor at TISS Mumbai, Director at various educational and population research institutes, and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Patna University. Singh has been twice awarded a Professional Associateship at the Population Institute, East-West Center, Hawaii, and received advanced training in population studies at ISS, The Hague.
