About the Author
Born into a railway family, Annavarapu RamaRao completed his post-graduation from Nagpur University and taught Chemistry for three years in Jabalpur before joining Indian Railways, where he rose to head operations in a major railway zone.

He has authored three collections of short stories, two books on railway history, a translation of Telugu stories, and his autobiography Between the Lines – A Railman’s Journey. He also contributed to Indian Railways – A Visual Journey, published by DK Publications in 2020. He currently resides in Bangalore.
