About the Book
Anand, an eleven-year-old with a precocious mind and a penchant for following rules, finds himself caught up in an adventure that pushes him far beyond his comfort zone. A boy who prefers order and predictability, Anand dislikes unplanned adventures and believes that adults are often more irrational than children. He finds security in structure, something his free-spirited parents fail to provide, making him feel vulnerable.
In this sequel to The Incident at Saheb Bagan, Anand is reluctantly dragged into a journey to a distant village to meet his father’s old friend, a descendant of dacoits. Once there, Anand quickly befriends twins Bakul and Putul, as well as Kammu, their trusty driver. The four of them soon find themselves embroiled in a thrilling adventure involving secret passages, a murder mystery, and a treasure hidden deep within the village’s history.
This exciting story is a rollercoaster ride filled with suspense, mystery, and intrigue, offering young readers a gripping tale of friendship, bravery, and problem-solving.
