About the Book
Surya Mall Mishran, a 19th-century bard from Rajasthan, was a member of the Charans, the warrior-poets who were revered in the courts of the Rajput princely states. While credited with writing seven books, Mishran’s fame primarily rests on two monumental works—Vansh-Bhaskar and Veer-Satsai. Vansh-Bhaskar, an ambitious but unfinished work, chronicles the history of the Chauhan rulers and is a vast repository of ancient knowledge and wisdom.
