An expert in fuels, lubricants, and engine combustion, he has a PhD in Biorenewable Resources and Technology from Iowa State University in the United States and a Master’s degree in Combustion and Energy from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, where he was a Shell Centenary-British Chevening Scholar. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from University of Calicut, India. He has published his scientific research in many prestigious journals and holds US patents. Najeeb is a member of American Society of Engineering Education, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International), Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, and American Petroleum Institute. He lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife Sunitha, daughter Fiza, and son Rayhan.
