About the Book:

Re-defining Feminisms is a critical anthology that explores the redefinition of feminisms within the Indian context, offering a fresh perspective on the various movements defined by the prefix ‘post’—such as post-structuralism, post-modernism, post-colonialism, and post-feminism. This book provides a detailed examination of the process that leads to the redefinition of feminisms, incorporating peer-reviewed and revised papers presented at the national conference hosted by the English Department of Gujarat University in October 2005.

The book is divided into four stages that represent the redefinition process: Re-design, Re-think, Re-view, and Re-mark. Each section presents contributions from a range of academic fields, including literature, Fine Arts, Creative Writing, Social Work, Activism, Media Studies, and more. The anthology explores the evolving nuances of feminism through diverse contributions that interweave different perspectives across disciplines.
