About the Book:
Pramukh Samajshastriya Vicharak (Key Sociological Thinkers) is a comprehensive work that aims to fill the gap in Hindi literature regarding social thinkers. While social thinkers hold a prominent place in sociology courses across most universities, there is a lack of multi-dimensional perspectives in available literature in Hindi. This book is an effort to provide a holistic understanding of key sociological thinkers and their contributions. It moves beyond the conventional curriculum focus, presenting thinkers in the context of their entire body of work.
The book covers major sociological thinkers such as Auguste Comte, Karl Marx, Herbert Spencer, Emile Durkheim, Georg Simmel, Max Weber, Vilfredo Pareto, Pitirim Sorokin, Talcott Parsons, and Robert K. Merton. The content is designed to cater to the academic needs of sociology students and to those interested in gaining deeper insights into the works and ideologies of these thinkers.
