About the Author
Eoin Devereux is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and an Adjunct Professor in Contemporary Culture at the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland. He has written extensively on media representations, particularly related to poverty and inequality. He is also the author of the international bestseller Understanding The Media and has co-edited several books on popular music. A passionate researcher and creative writer, Professor Devereux is also a director of two research clusters at the University of Limerick.
