About the Authors

Sampat Mukherjee is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and a former student of Nobel Laureate economist Amartya Sen. Over a distinguished academic career spanning more than five decades, he has authored numerous textbooks in English and Bengali and contributed extensively to newspapers and scholarly journals. He has taught at institutions including the University of Calcutta, St. Xavier's College Kolkata, Army Institute of Management, and ICFAI Business School.

Ranjan Nag is a renowned academic and economist with more than thirty years of teaching and writing experience. He serves as Professor at St. Xavier's College Kolkata and also teaches at St. Xavier's University Kolkata and the University of Calcutta.
