An alumnus of the renowned All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, he completed his medical graduation leading to the award of MBBS in 1984. He went on to complete the prestigious Neurosurgical residency program with the award of the coveted M Ch (Neurosurgery) degree in 1989. Prof. Hillol served with distinction as Senior Neurosurgeon at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi (1995-2005), under the Ministry of Health \u0026amp; Family Welfare, Government of India. He taught as Associate Professor (Neurosains) at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Kelantan, Malaysia (2005-2011), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Malaysia. Prof. Hillol is an accomplished Neurosurgeon and a gifted teacher well-liked by his students many of whom are now Consultant Neurosurgeons spread all over the globe. Prof. Hillol has been an invited Guest faculty at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2010). He set up the Endoscopic Skull Base Laboratory at the Department of Anatomy, Universiti Science Malaysia, Kubang Kerian, Kelantan for the training of residents with Dr. Shamim Khan of the Otorhinolaryngology Unit in 2010-2011.
