VED PRAKASH KAMBOJ is a legendary author known for his exceptional contribution to Hindi literature, particularly during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Born on December 1, 1939, in Shahdara, Delhi, Ved Prakash Kamboj began his literary journey at a young age. Helping his father in their artifact shop located near the Red Fort, he developed a keen interest in reading. His literary journey began with Indian folk tales, moving from religious books to detective stories.
Kamboj was introduced to the literary world by the famous writer Om Prakash Sharma. His first work, Kangura, was published around 1957-58 in Delhi, and it gained significant attention. After 62 years, this work was re-published by Neelam Jasoos Karyalay. Following this, his novels were consistently published by Neelam Jasoos Karyalay, Ratan & Co. in Delhi, and later by numerous publishers in Delhi and Meerut. His Singhi and Alphansi series became incredibly popular.
