- Name: Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay
- Born: 30th March 1899 (17th Chaitra, 1305 Bangabda) in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
- Family: Father - Tarabhushan; Mother - Bijleeprabha; Hailing from Baranagar, Kolkata.
- Education: Studied at Munger and Kolkata’s Vidyasagar College; Graduated in law from Patna University.
- Literary Beginnings: Started with poetry, publishing his first collection Joubanasmiti in 1325 Bangabda.
- Career in Literature: Took up writing full-time from 1929 and later moved to Bombay in 1938 to work in the film industry as a screenwriter.
- Film Career: Worked with Bombay Talkies and as a freelance screenwriter until 1952, after which he retired from cinema and settled in Pune.
- Pen Name: Chandrahash for his writings on astrology.
- Awards: Rabindra Puraskar, Surath Smriti Award from Calcutta University, and others.
- Died: 22nd September 1970.
