He served as the former Registrar and Retired Professor \u0026amp; Director (Museum) at the Kannada University, Hampi, in Karnataka.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe holds an M.A. from Karnataka University, Dharwad (1974), a P.G. Diploma in Archaeology from the Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi (1986), and a Ph.D. from Utkala University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa (1992), with a thesis on \"Sculptural Art of Hampi\" under the guidance of the late Prof. K.S.
