Annadhanam - Donate food to homeless children

Annadhanam is a sacred act of charity in Hindu tradition, involving the donation of food to those in need. The term comes from Sanskrit, where 'anna' means food and 'dhanam' means donation. This practice is considered highly meritorious and brings blessings to both the giver and the receiver. Donating food during Navratri holds special significance as it honors Shakti, the divine mother who nurtures all beings. By feeding the hungry during this period, you serve the divine, cultivate compassion, and foster spiritual growth. How We Do It
We work with six different homeless shelters in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Our focus is on providing meals to homeless and mentally challenged children below the age of sixteen. We arrange lunch and other food services for the children in these care centers.

How You Will Know Your Donation Was Used
We send a short video clip whenever possible showing the children receiving their meal and expressing gratitude for your contribution. There is no physical prasadham to be shipped, so shipping charges are zero.
