Details: यह पुस्तक आजादी के आंदोलन में सिद्धार्थनगर जनपद के योगदान को रेखांकित करती है। विद्वान लेखक ने सम्यक् अध्ययन एवं शोध के उपरांत इस पुस्तक को लेखनीबद्ध किया है। मुगल आक्रांताओं से लोहा लेने के लिए सतासी राज्य के इतिहास से लेकर 1857 में हुई देशव्यापी ब्रिटिश विरोधी क्रांति तक इस जनपद के जन-गण ने अपनी भूमि और अपने देश के लिए जान हथेली पर रखकर संघर्ष किया। 19वीं सदी के आंदोलनों में यहाँ के लोगों ने बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया। चौरी-चौरा जनक्रांति के पश्चात् इस जनपद के लोगों के आंदोलित होने पर तत्कालीन अधिकारियों ने शोहरतगढ़ के कांग्रेस कार्यालय को जला दिया था। पं. परमेश्वर दत्त को कोड़ों से पीटा गया। शहीद बुधई की जान भी ऐसे ही अत्याचार के कारण गई। शहीद हबीबुल्लाह ने जेल में अनशन करके अपने प्राण त्याग दिए। ऐसी तमाम घटनाएँ इस जनपद के इतिहास में आज अपनी अलग ही चेतना से जगमगा रही हैं जिन्हें इस पुस्तक के माध्यम से देशभक्त जन के सामने लाया जा रहा है।
